Fit Werx co-owner Ian Buchanan has been selected to be one of the core fitting instructors for the Serotta International Cycling Institute (SICI) .

Serotta's first cycling fit school was started in 1998 and rapidly became the premier fitting instructional school in the country. In the fall of 2006, the school changed directorship and Ray Browning, Ph.D. took over. With the directorship change, the school also became a separate entity from Serotta Competition Cycles and was reestablished as an institute. The institute's role in the bicycle industry is to apply scientific research to the fitting process and to instruct and advance the field while exploring and expanding the technology available to bicycle fitters. The certification requirements have become more stringent and SICI certification is considered the most comprehensive and advanced fit training available in the cycling industry.

SICI memberships, fitting classes and academic symposiums are available to bicycle industry employees as well as coaches and interested cyclists. Training is available at locations across the country. More information and a calendar of events may be found at
