Fit Werx - Waitsfield, VT
Fit Werx co-founders Ian and Sarah operate our original fit studio, office and shop in the active Mad River Valley town of Waitsfield, Vermont. This location is home to our most experienced fitting staff; our lead fitter has fit over 1600 athletes, from pro to novice, in the past five years alone. There is good reason why our Vermont location is a destination and serves athletes from as far away as Asia and Australia and as close as New York, Boston (as well as those from our own home state!).
Why Vermont? Vermont is our home for a number of reasons - the changing seasons, the beautiful scenery, the variety of sports, and the people. In the winter, some of our clients combine their passions of skiing and cycling and stay in the Valley for a few days. In the spring and summer, many get in some serious training in our hills by staying over an extra day or two and riding, hiking or running. Regardless of when you come, we encourage you to take some time to relax and enjoy the best of what Vermont has to offer. Discounted lodging packages are available at some excellent local inns and Fit Werx is easier to drive or fly to than you might think (most people find it takes less time than many metro areas). A visit to Fit Werx not only helps your riding, but also provides a great excuse for taking a day trip or longer vacation in Vermont.
Please note that with our second location in Peabody, MA, you can get fit and order a bike in Vermont and have it serviced and accessorized in Peabody or vice-versa... There are more reasons than ever to work with Fit Werx.

Fittings Hours:
Please note that all fitting work is done by appointment only. We usually offer a 10 a.m. slot and a 2 p.m. fitting slot, but appointments can often be made later on these days if needed. Scheduled fitting appointments are available the following days of the week:
February through May - Two appointments daily Wednesday through Sunday.
June through January - Two appointments daily Thursday through Sunday.
Regular Store Hours:
We are open regular daily hours for service work and retail sales. Walk in service is welcome, but please consider scheduling an appointment if your bike needs a complete tune or major service. Stop in anytime to see us, talk or shop. Especially in season, we are often here later than 6 p.m. as we only close when the work is done for the day.
Directions from the North:
Drive south on I-89 to the Waterbury-Stowe exit, #10. Bear right off the exit ramp and drive a quarter of a mile to Route 2. Go through Waterbury and take a right onto Route 100, just after Snowfire Subaru. Please note that Route 100 from Waterbury to Moretown is under heavy construction during the summer of 2007 - expect delays. Follow Route 100 for 9 to 10 miles to the "T" in the road. At the "T", take a right and drive for about 5 miles into Waitsfield village. Look for the "Fit Werx" sign on the right and turn in just after it. Please enter the building through one of the side doors.
Directions from the South:
Drive north on I-89 to the Middlesex exit, #9 (Vermont, not New Hampshire!). Take a left off the interstate exit ramp and go under the interstate. Take a left at the intersection onto Route 2 and go 1 mile to the convenience store. Take an immediate right onto Route 100B and drive through Moretown to Waitsfield. About 14 miles... Once in the village, look for the "Fit Werx" sign on the right and turn in just after it. Please enter the building through one of the side doors.
Directions from Boston:
Take I-93 North to I-89 North at the Concord, NH junction. Follow directions from the South above.
Directions from New York State:
Take I-87 North, past Glens Falls, to Exit 20. Go East on Rt. 149 towards Rutland. Route 149 turns into Route 4. Stay on Route 4 through Rutland and head towards Killington. Turn left on Route 100 and head North (for about an hour or so) to Waitsfield. Once you are in the village, look for our sign on the left, just after you pass the church. Please enter the building through one of the side doors.

The Peabody location of Fit Werx² is easy to get to from just about anywhere in the Boston area and, like Fit Werx in Vermont, is well worth travelling to regardless of where you are from.

Regular daily hours for retail sales, getting a quick adjustment on your bike, or just kicking tires are listed below. Please note that all major service work (tunes, overhauls, etc.) and all fitting work is done by appointment only (schedule listed below). Also, please note that we are often here later than the hours listed, as we only close when the work is done for the day. We can also often accomodate other hours by appointment, so please let us know what you need and we'll do our best to help. This being said, you will not find us open much earlier than the hours listed as we have to ride and train sometime...

Repair Services:The service area of Fit Werx² is managed by veteran technician Mark Wysocki who is dedicated to providing our athletes with the very best in quality workmanship, information and service. Quick adjustments (air, quick derailleur adjust...) are done as you wait whenever possible. All major service (tune-ups, overhauls, wheel builds...) are done by appointment only. Directions from the North:
Drive South on I-95 toward Peabody/Boston. Merge onto MA-128 N via Exit 45 toward Gloucester. Take the Lowell Street East Exit (Exit 26) toward Peabody/Salem. Travel for 1.3 miles into Peabody Square and take a Right onto Foster Street.
Directions from the South:
Drive North on I-95 toward Peabody/Boston. Merge onto MA-128 N via Exit 45 toward Gloucester. Take the Lowell Street East Exit (Exit 26) toward Peabody/Salem. Travel for 1.3 miles into Peabody Square and take a Right onto Foster Street.
