Epiphany - “I would liken today's ride to a person who is a size ten finding out that for the past three years they have been wearing size nine shoes and suddenly being given a pair of size tens. On a 2.5 hour ride, I rode in the aero position for 2 hours 10 minutes because it was by far the most comfortable I have ever been on a bike. On a course that I have ridden three times for 2.5 hours each time, I usually go 42 or 43 miles. Today I went 48.5 miles in the same amount of time with far less effort than ever before. THANKS.” Fred, NH

Achieving Dreams - “I just had to let you know that I qualified for IM Canada over the weekend at Muskoka!!! I was 4th in my age group, and my bike split was by far my strongest split. The P3 had yet another dominating performance. I have to tell you guys that the fit has made all the difference in the world. I display the FitWerx sticker proudly on the bike! You will be getting some international exposure for sure at Penticton come August!

Also, I did a duathlon in NH last weekend for a tune-up to Muskoka and placed 2nd overall, posting the fastest overall bike split. The kicker was that the race winner (who passed me with 1.5 miles to go on the 2nd run- I didn't know I was in the lead at that point :( . . .) approached me after the race and commented that as I blew past him on the bike course, I looked like I was in the picture-perfect triathlon position on the bike. If others can tell how well I am fit to the bike just by looking at me, that's a big testament to the work you do. Keep up the good work!" Bill, CT

No More Pain - “I have been meaning to email you to thank you for the bike fit!!! It has been amazing... my back pain had immediately stopped and I have been feeling much better & stronger on the bike! Also, it was very enjoyable to spend the day with you two!!! You have very good energy and I enjoy meeting COOL people! Many, many thanks for all of your help!!! I hope to see you at the races!!!!!!!” Pam, MA

Taking the Big Leap - “Have you been thinking...’it's time for a new bike.’ Or maybe, ‘I just don't feel right when I'm in my tri bars for any length of time.’ … I don't know about you, but buying a bike is sort of like buying a new car. It can be stressful, not to mention confusing. You’re not sure what to get, the choices are overwhelming, everyone is giving you their own advice on what they have and what not to get, and as you’re standing there listening to some salesman, you’re thinking.. ‘does this guy really know what he's talking about and is he looking out for my own best interests?’

…Recently (a friend of mine) and I decided that it was time to upgrade our bikes. We both own bikes that were purchased off the rack from bike shops and then subsequently fitted to us as best they could. After a while, you realize changing stems and bars several times to try and configure a bike to you is really not the ideal way to get a bike that is going to be the best for you whether for comfort or performance reasons. After doing some research, we found … Fit Werx. After a few e-mails and reading through their very informative website, we set up appointments for bike fittings and made the trek up to Vermont…

As for Ian and Sarah, they are not only extremely knowledgeable about the cycling industry(see their fit qualifications and experience on the website), but they give you detailed personalized service that is top notch. Never will you feel intimidated or uncomfortable about asking any questions or addressing any problems you may have whether over the phone or through e-mail... Flip through some of your most recent issues of Triathlete Magazine and you will see Ian answering questions in the Tech Support column.“ Elaine, MA

What's Your Favorite Sport? - “I rode tonight. And WOW! Is love too strong an emotion.....I mean TRUE LOVE.....OK, OK. I know it's just a bike, but MY GOD! WOW. I JUST LOVE IT!!!!! Being a swimmer by nature, I've always been jammed up about the bike. My least favorite of the 3 for sure, but I think that is all about to change. I really love it!” Dede, MA

New Love - “Thanks again for all your help and advice with the new bike and the upcoming tri season. I've ridden the bike 3 times now (would've been more if it weren't for the (poor)weather), and I LOVE it! Fit is comfortable, everything works great.” Steve, MA

Does Fit Work? - “I wanted to wait to ensure the phenomenal differences in my speed and overall form this past week were not in fact a psychosomatic reaction to the fit. Well, nearly a week's passed I'm pleased to be able to report that the new position seems to be working out brilliantly. The day after my fit, I went out for a 90 minute zone 2 ride and completed the workout at an average speed of 20.6mph -- I was even two heartbeats below the upper limit of my zone 2 range. I have never done an aerobic ride at that speed -- nowhere even near that speed! On Thursday, I had a points race at NHIS and finished second in points and second on the finish line -- my best night ever at the track. As I write, I am just off a 65 mile ride today and am feeling fabulous, hardly any of the neck stiffness that I had been having a problem with exists.” Matthew, NH

Mind Changing - “…I am definitely a lot more comfortable now in the aero position. Proof of the improved position would be the outcome at the St. Croix sprint triathlon in the Virgin Islands earlier this month. I had the fifth fastest bike split overall, and if it wasn't for the bumpy roads it probably would have been a little faster still... Aside from a great start into this year's season, I am just really enjoying my bike now! Thanks again. I wasn't convinced initially that the bike fit would really make that much of a difference.” Silke, CT

Ti-riffic (sorry, couldn't help it...) - “I wanted to ride my new bike for a sufficient time before I reported what my thoughts were. Since my very first ride I have enjoyed the Serotta. The fit is perfect, I am comfortable in the aero position throughout the entire ride, regardless of the distance of the ride. I am also getting off the bike much fresher for the run. The titanium frame was worth the extra money. The ride is light, smooth, and great at absorbing shock. I am already riding longer and faster. Thanks for the great service. I am spreading the word with my triathlon friends. Take care and I look forward to seeing you at some races this summer.” Michael, MA

To the Point - “I did 25 miles Sunday on the refitted bike and it rides great!” Alan, NH

Don't Put Off Until Tomorrow... - “I had my first ride this morning and it was a very comfortable ride. For the first time, when I got into the aerobars, I felt relaxed. Excellent job in fitting me. I should have done this a long time ago.” Fred, NH

We Aren't Just About the Northeast - “You have the bike dialed in perfectly! It felt great! The big question now is how quickly I adjust to the new position on long rides but I don't think it will take much adjustment period. I am amazed at how quiet the bike rides. Is that the Dura Ace or Fit Werx's expert craftsmanship? Thank you for doing such a good job putting the bike together and marking it so an anti-mechanic such as myself could put it together easily... Thanks again! Very pleased customer.” Jim, WA

Stability - “…So far, so good. I've done four rides (none big, anywhere from 12-25 miles). I feel MUCH better on the bike. Besides feeling much more comfortable, moving my feet in has definitely given me more power…My knee feels much more stable while pedaling (before the adjustment my right knee had a tendency to "stray" out at the top of the pedal stroke, this has been eliminated).“ Kevin, NY

Time and Comfort - “Thank you very much for all the time you spent with us on Saturday! It was really great and my bike feels very comfortable, thanks again.” Alex, NH

Increased Confidence - “…I just wanted to let you know that the roads finally dried out this weekend and I rode my bike, in aero position, for close to 5 hours and was INCREDIBLY comfortable. I spent the entire time in the aero bars, which I never would have thought possible. In fact, I was far more comfortable than I had been in my old road bike position, when I would get neck/upper-back pain after 3 or 4 hours and my hands would go numb periodically. Furthermore, I actually felt far safer speeding down hills than I used to in my road bike position! Even better, I felt like I had a lot of power in the new position and my shoes (with custom foot-beds) were great as well. So thank you again.” Ali, MA

Enjoyment - “This evening I had the opportunity to ride my new setup on my Serotta. The ride was very comfortable and less stressful. It was great. I am now looking forward to many very enjoyable miles of riding this year. Thank you.” Larry, MA

TT Sprints and More - “Just wanted to say thanks for all the great work you did with Andrea and I on our bikes. I have rode both my road and TT bike and it is an amazing difference. Foolishly, I hopped on my TT bike this Sunday for a 75 miler. Did I happen to mention it was my first time on it since FIRM-MAN '02? I thought I was going to be an absolute wreck. Guess again. I never felt better on it then this weekend! Amazing. As you said, taking out the head spacers increased the stiffness dramatically. The ability to evenly accelerate and load the pedals is much easier in the new position too. I found myself sprinting for a town line on my TT bike. (sad but true) The worst thing is that the new position was so comfortable I never got out of my aero position and I still smoked'em! That's either a good testiment to your work and my legs or an insult to the people I was sprinting against. I'll take the former. I didn't win 'sprints' on my TT bike last year!

As for my road bike it was also great, and I look forward to the real test on the club ride. More news to follow. Andrea was very happy with the adjustments to her bike and is gleefully waiting for your's and Sarah's call to say that her new Serrotta TT bike is there and ready to ship. I guess her new bike becomes the Big Kahuna in the stable. We are sure that she will get years of enjoyment from it. Of course if she starts beating (me) all over town (trust me, she will) I may need to come and buy a new bike for myself too! ;) Hope all is well and thanks so much.”
Matt and Andrea, Springfield, MA

One for Vermont - “WOW!!!!! I went out yesterday. After looking at my bike in the closet for a week, I was anxious to get out. As soon as I got on the bike, I realized what it's like to ride a bike that is custom made for my body. It felt so different, and so right. I did a 33 mile ride, figuring out the new gear ratio and the gear shifting on the way…I cringed whenever I went through a puddle. And when I got home, I cleaned off the bike - something I have never done before! It's a beautiful bike and I'm glad you guys started your business in the area.”
Larry, VT

One for New Hampshire - I put my bike in the CompuTrainer and rode in the aero position for about 70 minutes on Sunday morning. I was very comfortable and was surprised to see my spin scan and power output looking quite good. I'm looking forward to getting out on the road. However, with the CompuTrainer I feel that I am still getting high quality training.

I was very impressed with your know-how. I have very high confidence that we are on the money with the fit. Also, your shop is very impressive and well set up. Those of us who have visited you wish you were located a bit closer.” Brad, NH

New Bike = New Love - “(I) love the bike. You really made all of it come together perfectly. I guess from your perspective, just another satisfied customer, but from mine, you substantially improved my cycling ability and enjoyment.” Kent, AZ

Sharing - “I was extremely pleased with the work you have done for me. I thought you were very competent and extremely professional. I can tell that you love the work you do and that you care very much for your custumers. I've been sharing my experience on Thursday with a lot of my cycling and non-cycling friends and told them how impressed I was with your work.” Marielle, VT

Looking for Distance - “I have been on the bike a few times and so far the positioning is great. I am much more comfortable and I am not as stiff when I get off the bike. I can't wait to go on a long ride.” Rick, MA

Comfort - “I spent about an hour in the aero position on my first ride this week, which hasn't happened in a long long time. Thanks for the comfort.” Bill, MA

Better Than Ever - “I rode my road bike this morning. It was AWESOME; very different and much more comfortable. Thanks again, my bike feels better than ever!” Ed, MA

Getting it Right the First Time - “I am a very competitive age group marathon runner... I started to train for a triathlon last summer. I read all the self coaching books on biking, as well as rode with many competitive bikers in the area...(However,) nothing prepared me for the ride I took 2 days ago since visiting your shop and being fit to my bike... I watched in amazement as my heels remained in exactly the same plane as I cranked. This was only possible because of the way the cleats and insole were set up. The other amazing revelation was I could stand up on the pedals for more than a minute without having muscle spasms!! This is because of the arch support provided by those wonderful inserts and new SIDI shoes.

I blew out both the right and left calf muscle this fall and had to seek therapy. I am now convinced that it was caused by my poor shoe/pedal set up. My advice for any serious triathlete is if you really know what kind of shoe you should run in and it is a cushioned shoe, you can wear most shoes on the bike - but you should get fitted. If you run in stability shoes see Ian for the right shoe. If you need orthotics or motion control shoes, do NOT ride a bike without being fit to orthotics and new shoes by Ian!

I had also developed a slight elbow pain since riding a trainer this winter. Because of the bike fitting I now know that the pain is caused by a much too wide set of bars spreading my arms and locking the elbow joint. This is now fixed. I am convinced that it is much less expensive to purchase a performance bike from you all and get it right the first time, instead of purchasing a good bike elsewhere and then modifying it to fit you later. I am telling everyone I know of your skills and great shop! My sincere thanks.

I have competed at the highest levels in several sports over the years, and I can say it is very rare to meet a professional of Ian’s stature and knowledge in any sport. Every cyclist in New England should be fit to their bike by Ian.” Jim, NH

IMUSA Champion Writes - “The footbeds have been working great...they have been super. I'll let you know how they are working when I start putting in the big miles! Thanks again for working with me..."
Ryan Bolton, 2002 Ironman USA winner and Olympian

Greater Comfort - “I have been on the bike a few times and so far the positioning is great. I am much more comfortable and I am not as stiff when I get off the bike. I can't wait to go on a long ride.”
Rick, MA

Holding the Aero Position - “I spent about an hour in the aero position on my first ride this week, which hasn't happened in a long long time. Thanks for the comfort.”
Bill, MA

Better than Ever - “I rode my road bike this morning. It was AWESOME; very different and much more comfortable. Thanks again, my bike feels better than ever!”
Ed, MA

Just Wait Until Spring - “…While I have your ear, let me thank you for setting me up with 'Bertha' (my Softride). Due to the date that I bought it, I have not had a chance to get it on the road a whole lot. However, it is up on my trainer, taking up much of the free space in my one room studio, and I am spending quite a bit of time on it this winter. I already can tell that it has made me smarter, wittier, better looking and wealthier. Well, maybe not wealthier. It really is incredibly comfortable, and being on the trainer has been a great opportunity to work on technique. The feedback from the beam allows me to feel when I've got my pedal stroke right. I can't wait to corner it in the spring! Softride is a great bike in general, but working with you made it the right bike for me and made me happy about spending the money. Thank you so much.”
Sean, ME

Raves - “Just wanted to say how impressed I was with what you guys have going on up there, and to say thanks again! I have already raved to all my teamates about the fitting...and you will be getting some calls…”
Ben, Cat 1, VT

Comfortable and Powerful - “I just wanted to thank you both for the superb job and unbelievable effort in making my bike as comfortable as possible. Due to weather and my schedule, I have only been out on the road once with it for about 40 miles (but several hours on the trainer with it) in the past week. It is a completely different feel, but more comfortable, sustainable, and powerful. It makes a huge difference. I can't wait to have you help me with a Serotta one of these days. I greatly appreciate it, and hope all is well up there. I love the footbeds. Great...that is the only word for them. Talk to you guys later.”
Kent, MA

Work of Art - "The new bike is amazing... I surely will not be able to live up to the capabilities of the machine if I keep working full time. Do you know anyone looking to sponsor an unproven triathlete? I didn't think so. But, the bike is a work of art as far as I'm concerned. I have been bragging about it to anyone who will listen. Thanks for the help in making it happen." Ben, CT

Coach's Approval - "I just wanted to say thanks for your attention to detail and your wonderful hospitality! Galloway (Fit Werx's mascot) was such a big help! I was very impressed with your attention to details and your knowledge! I was a bit skeptical about being measured in the aerobar postion but Will (coach) was very glad that I did! He said I would be more comfortable in that position when my bike fit me and I would see a huge difference in comfort and speed. He said that is the position he wanted me to train and race in most of the time, but because that postion was uncomfortable and a bit shaky I was hesitant to ride in and race on the aerobars. You guys were terrific! I will let you know how things go. Thanks again!" Linda, MA

No More Neck Pain - "I tried out the bike today with the new dimensions and was very comfortable. No neck strain and an overall comfortable feel to the bike. Just wanted to say 'thank you'."
Peter, NH

Young Love - "Thanks so much for all your expertise. I really love my Serotta Colorado III. The new crankset appears to have solved any problems the Ultegra crankset presented. Thanks again. I’m sure we’ll be in touch."
John, CT

Higher Gears and Lower Times - "First ride after the fit,WOW! what a difference. I knocked off about 45 seconds on my TT loop and stayed aero the whole way. In some cases I was even up a gear."
Ray, VT

Makes a Big Difference - "Things are great. The bikes are making us very happy. Pete joined a local riding club after returning to Maryland and has ridden more in the past month than practically the last year. He is still continuingly singing your praises. His feet are no longer falling asleep…I've also been riding a lot more. Before I was getting sore shoulders after very short rides and now I'm riding longer with no difficulties. We both just drove cross country with our bikes on the roof (Pete to Seattle and me to Fairfield CA). I've signed up for the Napa Valley Tour while I'm here. I won't be riding the Century quite yet, but I'm moving in the right direction. I feel a lot more comfortable on my bike now. As a beginner, I didn't realize how much better things could be."
Sandi, MD

Faster - “Well, I've had a chance to put my newly fitted bike to the test. I am getting faster with time just as Ian had predicted. My time at the Berkshire Triathlon was good (better than usual).” Bob A., NY

Improved Splits - “Things are progressing right along with the P2K. I did the Sharon Tri this past weekend (3rd tri of season) and my bike split improved tremendously. I am realizing (and as you both mentioned) that the transition to a "true" tri bike can take a little time. I am doing the Hyannis Sprint II on Sept. 7th, and looking forward to improving my bike split once again. “ Owen, MA

One - "Thanks again for your help. I was out riding yesterday and definitely noticed the improvements. I found I was maintaining an average speed that was about 2mph faster than my long standing average! It's hard to believe that is due to to the fit. Perhaps there are other factors at play too, but I'm not going to split hairs :) The bike is definitely feeling more like a part of me now. Thanks again!"
Ryan, VT

Peace of mind - "I am riding well- the century was a good test, as my season got started so late, and I was happy with the result...handlebars definitely improve my steering and confidence, the footbeds are breaking in nicely and the core alignment/pedal stroke is much easier to maintain with the current fit. So, all in all, a huge success and my mind is at peace knowing we've covered every centimeter!"
Kim, VT

One-on-One Attention - "I was very satisfied with the road and mountain bike fittings. You were able to spend the 4 hours of one-on-one attention that I needed. You took the time to inquire about injuries, discomfort, and you did thorough body and bike measurements. You made sure the bikes fit my body, and you did all the little things too, like moving the break levers in, and adjusting the handlebar width.... the bikes feel great! Getting custom footbeds to keep my ankle in a more neutral and powerful position is next on my To-Do-List. Thanks to Fit Werx I have a greater knowledge of bike-upgrades I can make. I'm sure that an aerodynamic fitting (probably to a custom bike,) is in my future, and I know FitWerx can help me with both. Thanks again." Whitney, VT.

Perfect - "I had researched tri bikes and had decided on a P3 over a year ago. When I set out to acquire one, my enthusiasm diminished. Local shops that carried them could not demonstrate to me that they knew what the were doing when it came to fitting me on the bike. I considered mail order too. But, once I clicked to the 2nd and third level pages on the web sites, hope faded there as well. I was adamant that I would not spend the money unless I was confident that I was being set up properly and with the right components. I had all but given up on it when I met you two after the Tupper Lake 1/2 Ironman. In that 10 minute conversation hope returned. The fitting, the foot beds, the component selection and the nearly daily reassurance were all fantastic. The delivery of the bike? Well, let's just say I was very, very happy. One fear remained....that my new bike with the perfect set up and individually picked components wouldn't really make a lot of difference. It has been a month now since I picked the bike up. In that time I have done two 1/2 Ironman races. Won my age group in one and took second in another. PR bike splits in both! Most impressive was the one this past weekend which I had also competed in last year. My year over year improvement on the bike was 8.5 minutes! This after a decade of consistent training and racing results! It is unbelievable to me! I really can't come up with adequate superlatives for your services. I think the results actually say it all."
Bob J., MA

Much Faster and Stable - "Yahoo! I shaved off 12.5 minutes from my time last year on the same course!! I have a lot more power in the foot with the footbeds, it keeps the ball of my foot stable. Yesterday I did a tough hilly ride that used to take me almost 2 hours...I did it in 1:15!!! This weekend I'll do my first century of the season… Thanks for everything!"
Anna, NH

It Just Works - "Thank you, My bike fit is awesome.:)… Thank you once again you two come highly reccommended in my books!! Look forward to riding that hill of yours in the spring!"
Karen, MA

Thorough - "I wanted to drop you a line and let you know about the bike fit I received. For one I thought it was fabulous and very thorough. You didn’t miss anything in regards to injuries, aches and pains or upcoming races. From the moment I sat on the bike I could feel how right the fit was. What a change from my old position. Up higher, more forward. I felt more powerful with less effort. Gone were the neck and shoulder pain, the numbness in my foot and the knee pain that followed a ride. Almost feels like a new bike. I can’t believe I did an Ironman in that old position. Thanks again for the experience and I am recommending Fit Werx to everyone I talk to."
Tom, MA

Faster - "The only thing wrong with the bike is I can't stay off the damn thing! I rode 60 yesterday and 30 today right after work and I feel like a could run a marathon. I didn't think there would be that much of a difference. My riding partner was ready to die yesterday trying to keep up and I wasn't even breaking a sweat. Every time I turned around she was about a half mile behind. Usually our pace is very equal and sometimes I struggle to keep up with her. She is a spin class instructor and she trained all winter. Needless to say she wants a new bike now..." Donny, NY

Good changes - "Thank you for letting me come in on such short notice last week. I was really impressed with your knowledge about fitting, and the changes you made to my cleats and positioning (not to mention I need to stretch just a little bit more) are going to help a lot." Owen, MA

No Pain - “I just have to tell you I have NO PAIN from riding my bike!!! Thank you and Ian so much for the fitting! I will be sure to pass along the good news to all of my friends!”
Beth B., MA

Feels like a new bike - “I was going to get back to you today to let you know I am ecstatic!! I went for an easy ride Friday night and felt like I was on a new bike--in the aero bars the whole time both up and down hills!!! AND NOTHING HURT!!! I felt more efficient with less effort which was verified by my heart rate staying within my zone!! I rode a total of 140 miles this weekend and had to push on my long one Saturday and again NOTHING HURT!!! I am singing your praises with all my friends that could benefit by your service. . . Thanks a million for making my pedaling hours way more tolerable.” Lisa, NH

Quantifiable results - "I would like to thank you both. It was a long day, but well worth it…last nite my training protocol was for 90 minutes on the bike. I had never went that long and was not looking forward to it. Well, I was nicely surprised with the fitting. As far as quantifiable data, I went from 20 mph to 25.5 mph with less effert(WAS ON TRAINER SET AT 50%). My heart rate was in the 120 area ,as opposed to the 130 area prior to your adjustments. I had unlimited energy after an hour, I had to go 27 mph, as my heart rate went below the mininum needed for the training effort... Such a large gain in speed, reduced heart rate clearly point to a significant, measurable benefit post FIT WERX!!! The fitting was great… I wholeheartly recommend you." Francis, NY

Beginner friendly - "Thank you for the great experience! Thanks for all the help. Very beginner friendly. Very knowledgeable. Very friendly. Every question that I asked had an answer with a thorough explanation. You guys were great. Thanks." Ken O., NH

Clients come First -"I really can't express how great it is to be working with you and Sarah on this and knowing you're really looking out for my best interest. You don't usually find that these days! I could never forget what you've both gone through to help me out. I'm glad I chose you to work with and don't believe I would have gotten this kind of help and service anywhere else. Again, you two have been great and I'm looking forward to seeing you from time to time when I get up that way again. It's such a great place to ride!" Rick K., triathlete and coach, MA

Custom Footbeds Solve Problem - "The footbeds are really great! I went on a 40 mile ride today. What I can't get over-my Achilles tendons are not sore. I've been battling tendonitis in both Achilles and they don't hurt tonight! Plus my shoes feel like they are form fitted to my feet!" - Shelley L., road cyclist/racer, VT

Professionalism - "I wanted to thank you and Sarah for a great visit and experience. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't express in words here how professional and thorough you guys are."
Mike S., coach and triathlete, NH

Performance Analysis a Better Value than Race Wheels - "If the site accepts postings, I would like to add a note on Fit Werx:
- Very thorough process: I was there from 10 am to 3 pm.
- The footbed prep and shoe adjustments, which I did not have any thought of needing, has completely smoothed my pedal stroke (no pops or wiggles during the rotation).
- My setup is now quantitatively defined in terms of proper position vs. ergonomics vs power output. I have set up the new bike, and the feel is good. Very different than my old settings.
- I am converting my Softride to these numbers. Amazing how far off I was - the value of the session, I believe, is that you are placed in a verified position arrived upon by close measurements and testing. Last season, I was chasing position all season. I believe I made a mess of my position, and likely increased my back issues rather than lessening the strain.
- ...I believe the investment is far more worthy than aero wheels or some other pricey accessories. I was throwing away 5-10% in power, and positioning myself to strain my back more."
Jeremiah F., triathlete, NH

"Butt Kicking" Performance Gains - "....went for 62 mile ride with a couple of my team mates and kicked their butts at 19 mph. I felt great!!! Thanks to you. I can't believe you can be that comfortable on a bike that fits you properly. Thanks so much for all your help. I will be spreading the news to let everyone know the excellent work and the dedication you have with each individual that comes into your store. You are never going to get rid of us."
Nancy D., MA

Great Experience - "Thank you guys. I had a great experience." - Eric M., road cyclist and triathlete, VT

Comfortable and Efficient - "I rode fifty miles on Thursday and my arms and back have never felt better." - Jarka D., road cyclist, NH

Not Your Average Bike Shop Experience - "Yesterday was a pretty exciting day for me. In my case a once, or possibly twice, in a lifetime experience. I usually approach bicycle shops and used car dealers with caution. I was sort of presold ahead of time, having learned on the Serotta web site that you both had undergone fitting training. Within a few minutes of entering your facility, I started to get a good feeling about it and about you both. Things that I noticed:

-Neatness of the whole facility.
-Neatness of work areas.
-The way Ian handled my original E-mail.
-The way Ian handled the fellow who wanted a triathlon bicycle tune for his daughter
-Sarah's fitting manner.
-The way in which you responded to my original phone call, you were dealing with a customer and called back later. You did not let yourself get interrupted, stayed with client, that really resonated with me.
-Knowledge of anatomy and skeletal system.
-Use of computer technology, for fitting, components, billing, etc.
-Expert knowledge on bicycles, cycle geometry, and implications.
-Answered all questions.

As the session progressed passed the foot orthotic stage and into the fitting, I appreciated your expertise and attention to "getting it right". Having lived with my first "custom" bicycle for over 15 years, I certainly knew what I didn't want. And for you to do your job, it is more obvious to me now than ever, the customer has to commit to what he or she wants in terms of how and why one rides (this is the part that really gets lost in commercial bike shops or maybe they don't really expect to see serious riders). My original intent was to get the numbers and scan the universe for a reasonable fit frame, hopefully Campy equipped etc. As the session progressed, I moved towards a decision to commit to a custom bike then and there based on what you both did and how you did it. This is not about money to me, its about value. What you are getting for your buck in real terms. I'm getting a bicycle that I really can really put some miles on that fits and I can really enjoy for many years. With that promise, I feel very confident that I made a right decision." - Tom, NH

Wishes Fit Werx was in Boston (note: as of 2007, we are!)- "Thank you again for all the time you spent with the measurements and calculations on my new bike. Best wishes on your shop. I know your area needs and will use your services. I wish you were here in Boston!!!!!" - Ellen R., triathlete, MA

Efficiency - "Just wanted to let you know that the orthotics and footbeds you made for me feel great. I really feel like my pedal stroke is more efficient now. Thank you for your time." - Kim L., professional triathlete, VT

Knowledge and Passion - "I really appreciate your thoughtful E-mails. You sound like a guy with a lot of knowledge and passion for triathlon cycling, and you sure are generous with your time." - Ben H., triathlete, LA

Cloud 9 - "It's all about quality, expertise and FitWerx finesse! The mini position test spin last night was just a teaser. However, it was enough for me to know the minute I clipped in that my bike is truly amazing. And I've yet to even tap into the benefits of having a quality racing machine specifically designed and measured for me. What a difference!!! When I got home, I had a half hour before dark so I hit the road. The best way to describe it... I felt like I was effortlessly floating through the air. She's smooth, light and, the best part, this baby can fly! I must have been a sight - I was smiling ear to ear the whole ride. I even caught myself giggling a few times from sheer joy. I put her in for the night and looked back with a smile and said, 'My sweet Stealth baby, we're going to win some races!' The weather is promising for this weekend and I can't wait to take her out for a couple of nice long bonding rides! Signing off for now from Cloud 9." - K.Page, triathlete, WA

Image Gallery - One of the best parts of our job is helping to make people's cycling dreams come true. While there are many people who we sadly missed getting a good picture of with their new steeds, we wanted to share some of the ones who we did.
